JOB OFFER: Query for Intro to Mahjong/Mahjongg Class

From: ambery@edadvance.org

Hello: I was referred and wanted to reach out to you to see if you may be interested in teaching a class for our local adult-education program. I act as a Site Coordinator for Northwest Connecticut's Region 1's EdAdvance program, and I am currently planning our Fall 2024 course offerings. Would you be interested in teaching an Intro to Mahjong/Mahjongg Class -- or a similar class -- for adult students ages 18+?
We are doing online and in-person classes. It sounds like a wonderful subject for students to learn more about. We pay our instructors $20/hour.
In-person classes can be held at any of our many sites that range from Falls Village to Watertown (chances are, one of our sites is near you). Depending on the site's schedule, in-person classes are held Mondays through Thursdays, between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. All classes are weekly and can be scheduled anytime between October 2024 and mid-December 2024, excluding holidays. Classes are generally two hours maximum. The number of classes in a course can range from one class to a total five maximum; if a second-level course to the subject is desired, we can develop that as well.
We are putting together courses for the Fall 2024 semester in coming months. Many returning instructors will soon be filling up available time slots and classrooms. We would like to fit in your class. Please be sure to submit the completed very brief Course Proposal Form at your earliest convenience if you are interested.
EdAdvance reaches about 81,000 households, and nearly double the number of individuals, and it would be great to have such a class among our courses offered. Our courses have been acclaimed by several local media.
If you have any questions, please reach out to me at the below contact information. I hope you will consider doing a class. I look forward to being in touch. I appreciate your kind consideration. Please let me know if you have any questions and I will be glad to assist.
Thank you, Noel Ambery II, EdAdvance Site Coordinator, Region 1/Falls Village

Lisadragoli@aol.com[Hello,I'm not sure to be directing my message to the correct club? I have my great aunt's mah jong(g) set from the 1930's, I believe. I didn't want to sell it to a secondhand shop that doesn't know anything about the game. Do you know of anyone who may be interested? It looks complete in case. I'm in Southeastern CT, New London County.Thank you. ]

eilaschmidt@snet.net[how do I post a message looking for a New Haven/Milford/Stratford Mah Jong player. We lost our fourth player and need a new player. We play socially on Wednesday afternoon from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. We each take a turn hosting, which includes providing soft drinks and a couple of snacks (e.g. chips and dip and Cheetos - nothing too fancy or expensive). We would welcome a novice player. We are young seniors. We do not play for money. Two of us own Mah Jong sets so an interested person would not need to own one. Two of us live in New Haven and the third lives in Stratford (just a mile over the Milford/Stratford line).
